Local Bookshops

Waterstones

123 A Scotswood View, Metrocentre, Gateshead NE11 9YG, UK – 0191 460 5910

Not just great for books and fan items, but staff are very helpful and friendly. You can also enjoy teas, coffee and cake, plus other food. They also offer FREE WI-FI to all. Books, drinks and a very friendly place. :)

Used to have a much larger selection when it spanned two floors. Now seems to give over more space to the cafe than a wider selection of book genres.

I love W H Smith, their book dept are full of popular fiction well laid out. Best selection of magazines and cards on the high street.

Sells books sweets and CDs and stationary. Have had bad experiences in the store. But I still enjoy going there, just don't bother asking the staff anything. One staff member had a go at me for not using the self check out, when there wasn't a que!
